Yes, I agree with that. From my professional experience with social media, I can tell you that angry customers come in very rude, but if you are polite and understanding, they cool off almost instantly — as if you had just held a mirror up to them.

Taken to its extreme, I feel like every user I hid on Facebook in 2016 turned into a Klan rally that I could have prevented just by — you know — hanging out.
